Cheryl has a wealth of knowledge from 25 years of working in Te Hiku communities across a multitude of government and NGO spaces, including Ōranga Tamariki, Victim Support, Care and Protection, Youth Justice and Women’s Refuge. She has also worked in early childhood education for the Playcentre Association. Cheryl has numerous qualifications under her belt, including a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a Diploma in Mātauranga Māori, a Diploma in Whānau Social Work and Level 4 Certificates in Project Management and Small Business Management. She is currently studying towards a Level 7 Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice. Cheryl has recently completed a Level 7 Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice studying Crown/Iwi Welfare Studies.
We are systems advocates and activists directly raising the whānau voice with agencies of the Crown in order to effect change.
